The description and analysis contained on this website are based on a wide variety
of sources including a vast array of economic statistics. Our thanks are due to
the Office of National Statistics, the Bank of England and the OECD for their kind
permission to allow the inclusion of their data.
We acknowledge with thanks the support we have been given by the three examining
bodies, Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA), Edexcel, and Oxford Cambridge
and RSA Examinations (OCR) for allowing the inclusion of a comprehensive set of
questions.
The website includes a macroeconomic model of the UK which allows budding economists
to change a number of key macroeconomic variables, and then gauge the effects of
these changes on the UK economy against baseline forecasts. The model was developed
by Sam Moore at Oxford Economics and we are grateful to Sam for this invaluable contribution.
